How To Level Up Your BookTok With ContentStudio and Slides

Slideshows are among the most successful tools for book marketing on TikTok, and great tools to grow BookTok accounts. However, creating and posting slideshows can be time-consuming and tricky since TikTok doesn’t allow scheduling and requires uploads via mobile.

Now, let me introduce you to ContentStudio!

What is ContentStudio?

ContentStudio is an all-in-one social media tool. It lets you schedule content to TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and so on, way in advance and keep a close eye on your content performance.

The advanced tiers also have options for inbox management and research tools to learn more about your market, such as top influencers.

All very helpful features, but for now I will focus on telling you more about scheduling TikTok carousels / slideshows to grow your BookTok audience and make posting regularly a lot more manageable!

How to schedule your TikTok Slideshows

1. The first thing you need to do once you open your account with ContentStudio is to link your TikTok account. Once you’ve done that, you’re all set to schedule your BookTok content!

2. Download your TikTok slideshow from Canva as .jpg and unpack the .zip file.

3. Create a new post.

4. Select the TikTok account you wish to post to on the left side of your screen. This menu will open:

4. For the slideshow, you will want to choose ‘Image Carousel’. Once you have done that, the menu will change slightly and add the option for you to add a title. Now select ‘Public’ to post the slideshow for everyone to see it. You can open the comments for your viewers and you can pick the option of ContentStudio adding music to your slideshow upon posting. A little more on that later.
You can also choose, whether your Slideshow will publish directly (Direct Publishing via API) or whether you want your slides to be sent to TikTok notifications so you can post them manually and pick out the sound.

5. Scroll further down to schedule the slideshow to your BookTok account. You can pick the date and time, and you can also elect to have the same post repeated X times every X days.

Now, instead of scheudling, the advanced plans also have the option of ‘Content Categories.’

Now, this option is the most time-saving one of all in my opinion.

1. Go to your Dashboard and click your profile picture on the upper right corner.

2. Select “Content Categories” and you will be directed to what looks like a weekly schedule.

3. ‘Add Category’ and pick the profiles where you want the content to be posted.

4. Schedule out when you want the content from this category posted in this weekly schedule.

5. Now, when you schedule your content, you can pick the category in the upper left corner, above your accounts.

6. No need to add date and time, finishing up you need to click “Add to category.”

What this does:

Instead of having to schedule out every single piece of content, this allows you to queue them. Whenever it’s time to post from a category, ContentStudio will pick the next post in your queue to publish.

Once you’ve created several posts for your queue, you can also go back to ‘Content Categories’ and shuffle them, for a random order of posting.

But what about the music?

You can pick for ContentStudio to add a sound at the time of scheduling. For me personally, that works most of the time. In cases it does not, or when I’m not happy with the music choice, I can go right to the TikTok profile, open the slideshow and change it via the settings. (It’s in German but I’m sure you get the gist:)

Saving Captions

After creating your captions, you can save them and select with two clicks. Since I always add my blurbs to the captions, this is way more practical than always having to copy-paste them.
